Our mission at the Warrant Officer Division is to professionally develop, manage and implement the highest quality technical and tactical training for active and reserve component warrant officers attending the Electronics Systems Maintenance Technician (948B) Warrant Officer Basic and Advanced Courses.
:Establishes section safety and crime prevention/security programs that adhere to the policies, practices, and regulations associated with these programs. Manages personnel, equipment, and facility assets for operation, repair, maintenance, and modification of radio, radar, computer, electronic data processing, controlled cryptographic items, television, fiber optic, radiological and related communications equipment and associated tools, test, and accessory equipment. Establishes section SOPs to ensure a proper work environment is maintained and that personnel adhere to maintenance schedules, Army Maintenance Management Systems (TAMMS), Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA-QC) procedures, and Standard Army Maintenance System (SAMS-1). Ensures personnel are trained to use the tools, test equipment, and applicable publications for the completion of the mission and are trained in automation skills. Ensures that the section is deployable by supervising the Unit Level Logistic System (ULLS). Develops, rehearses, and implements load plans and deployment scenarios; establishes field SOPs; ensures standards of the Mission Essential Task List (METL) are met. Ensures that Logistics tracking systems such as the Unit Level Logistic System (ULLS) Army Maintenance Management Systems (SAMS-2), and the Standard Army Retail Supply Systems (SARSS) are used. Interprets technical data and schematics, researches and interprets supply data, and fabricates repair parts or procures through outside resources. Coordinates technical, administrative, and logistical interface between the maintenance activity and supported units. Advises commander and staff on electronic equipment development, procurement, capabilities, limitations, and employment. Establishes, monitors, and maintains comprehensive environmental protection program IAW national and local directives. Performs other company grade officer level duties as required/essential to the unit mission.
Info on MTSS concerning 948B WOBC and WOAC
Military Training Service Support - AC, USAR, and ARNG personnel TDY for training here at Phase 2 of 948B WOBC or WOAC need to inform their servicing MILPO that Fort Gordon is participating in the Military Training Service Support (MTSS) program. MACOMs/Commands will not be required to fund the cost of lodging, meals and selected transportation at Fort Gordon. These costs will be centrally funded by the training installation. DD Form 1610 or Travel Orders must reflect MTSS. MTSS students MUST register at Fort Gordon Lodging (Griffith Hall Bldg 250, Tel 706-791-2277, DSN 780-XXXX) for room assignment.

In-processing of 948B WOBC and WOAC students will commence at 0745 on the ATRRS Start Date at the 73rd Ordnance Battalion Conference room building 25604. Don't be late.
Confirm Reservations with Griffith hall 706-791-2277. If your arrival date changes, you MUST call Griffith Hall to change/cancel your Reservations.

1. Complete ACU Uniforms.
a. All US soldier students (including WOBC) must wear beret during the course.
b. From 1 Oct through 31 Mar, a Field Jacket and Gloves may be required for outdoor formations. Make sure you have them.
c. All US Warrant Officer soldier students will have their rank on their right collar and the "Ordnance Shell & Flame" on their left collar (including WOBC). They must be subdued and they both must be either pin-on or they must both be sew-on.
2. Complete Class A Uniform with all authorized awards and decorations. You must also bring long and short sleeved shirts, for alternate Class B wear.
3. Complete Improved Army Physical Fitness Uniform (IAPFU). All soldiers must have the IAFPU Jacket and Pants as well as Gloves and Black Stocking Cap.
4. (Optional) Dress Blues or Mess Blues.
a. You are not required to go to Formal Events requiring these uniforms, however, if an event is available (i.e., Ordnance Ball, Marine Corps Ball, etc.) and if you choose to go to these events, you will wear the appropriate uniform.
5. All WOAC students must bring their OER which was generated immediately prior to your attendance at WOAC.
6. Your valid and active AKO e-mail address.
7. Your Active Government Travel Credit Card.
8. A correct DA Form 1610 or travel orders (as applicable) with authorization of Rental Car or authorization of POV.
a. Ensure your orders/1610 reflect what your RFO states.
b. Do not let your servicing MILPO just cut you a generic set of orders.
c. Do not arrive without making transportation arrangements. Local transportation (shuttles, etc.) are NOT available for officers. Insist that Rental Car or POV authorization is included on your orders otherwise you must take a Taxi three times a day which is not economical to your unit.
d. Refer to the ATRRS web page for additional information as needed, i.e., in and around mileage, class dates, etc. To use the page, simply go to ATRRS then look for the COURSE CATALOG section and click to enter. Then scroll down to choose your Warrant MOS (WO MOS) and click "SEARCH THE ATRRS COURSE CATALOG"
e. Although your unit initially pays for this TDY, it is coded as a Valid DA-Selected School and your unit will be reimbursed for all costs of this TDY by DA.
f. If your losing unit does not or will not authorize you a Rental Car or they will not authorize you In and Around Mileage (if POV is authorized), call your Course Manager and they will e-mail or fax you a memo arguing the case to give you these entitlements. The final say is your Commander and if they refuse to put these entitlements on your orders, even after receiving our memo, there is nothing more WOD can do.
9. Ten copies of your travel orders and all amendments
10. Proof of Security Clearance. Go to your S-2 now and verify your clearance. Bring a copy of your clearance.
11. Proof of Permanent Physical Profile with Doctor's Signature. No profiles will be accepted without authorized signatures.
1. Know how and where to file your travel vouchers with your Operating Location, i.e., Rome, NY; Orlando, FL; Lawton, OK; etc. If you have any questions, go to your unit APC to ensure your card is active prior to departing your unit. The Finance office on Redstone Arsenal does not process travel vouchers and does not assist with TDY claims or assistance.
2. Billeting is normally available. Dependents are not authorized. If on-post lodging is not available, billeting (Griffith Hall) will make arrangements to house you off-post.
3. You will be on meals per-diem on weekends and Federal holidays.
4. Transportation: Augusta Regional Airport is located approximately 10 miles from Fort Gordon. Take a taxi (and claim it on your TDY) from the airport or pick up your rental car from the airport. Pick up services from the Airport is for AIT soldiers.
5. HOLIDAYS: IET Sodiers wishing to stay in the Augusta area or within a 130-mile radius for non-duty days do not require a pass, however, these personnel will br required to sign out at the BN Staff Duty desk. Soldiers going outside the 50-mile radius on non-duty days must have a completed pass form. The pass must be recommended by the Platoon Sergeant and approved by the Company Commander or their designated representative.
6. Uniform Requirements: Uniform for day-to-day classroom instruction is ACU. During cold weather, formations are in Field Jacket and gloves. Gortex is authorized.
