Course Title: Network Management Technician WOBC

Length: 23 Weeks, 4 Days


The Network Management Technician Warrant Officer Basic Course (WOBC) is broken down into two courses.

  • The 4C-255N (CP) Phase 0 course is attended by the AC only with students in PCS status.
  • The 4C-255N Phases 1-3 are attended by the Army Reserve National Guard (ARNG) and the United States Army Reserve (USAR) with students in Temporary Duty (TDY) status.  The Joint Federal Travel Regulation prohibits Permanent Change of Station (PCS) and TDY students from being taught in the same class at the same time.

AC, ARNG, and USAR will receive instruction and practical exercises in the installation, application, and management of Cisco Certified Network Academy Technologies (CCNA 1-4); Multiplexing; Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP); Intrusion Prevention System (IPS)/Intrusion Detection System (IDS); Firewall Implementation; Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP); Traffic Shaping/Quality of Service/Multicast/Multi-Protocol Labeling Switch (MPLS); Circuit Switched Networks; Combat Net Radio (CNR); Transmission/Spectrum/On-the-Move Planning; Battle Command Systems; Network Management; and Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T). The course also provides training on DCG-IMT WOBC Common Core Tasks.  A Capstone Training Event is conducted at academic course completion to evaluate student's abilities to perform MOS Skill Level Critical Tasks.
