Army missing and dead list

The following list includes the names of 74 Army personnel who are unaccounted-for or confirmed dead in the wake of the Sept. 11 attack on the Pentagon. (The Navys 42 casualties and various defense agencies' eight victims are not included here.) The names include 22 military, 46 Department of the Army civilian employees and six contractors.

The names are people the Defense Department listed as unaccounted-for on the Sept. 15 list. The total number of persons unaccounted for or known dead from the Pentagon attack is 189, including the 64 passengers and crew who perished aboard the hijacked airliner. Pentagon workers who were unaccounted-for or confirmed dead totaled 125.

As of Nov. 13, 120 remains had been recovered and sent to Dover AFB, Del., for identification. All 120 have been identified. One person died later from wounds suffered in the attack.

The first two names below are the Army people listed as unaccounted for -- their remains haven't been recovered from the Pentagon. The rest of the names, broken into military, civilian and contractor categories, have been identified and confirmed dead by DoD.
