Independence Day celebration

Fort Gordon’s Independence Day began with a few moments of uncertainty. A severe thunderstorm with lightning was in the vicinity into the start of the festivities July 3.

Everyone on Barton Field was directed to seek shelter in their vehicle or any nearby facility.
